What it costs before you call
The diagnostic is flat because the process is the same every time. Repairs carry a range because what we find changes the job.
Get a free quote| Service | Price | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| Leak Detection Diagnostic | $295 flat | Standard pool, up to two skimmers. Credited toward the repair. |
| Dive Inspection (add-on) | $75 to $150 | Only when pressure and dye point to the shell itself. |
| High Water Bill Audit | $195 flat | Credited toward the full diagnostic if the pool turns out to be the cause. |
| Underground Plumbing Leak Repair | $600 to $2,400 | Trenching distance, decking removal, and the pipe material we find. |
| Structural Crack Repair | $250 to $600 | Crack length and depth, and how much plaster area needs re-matching. |
| Skimmer Body Replacement | $350 to $900 | Full body swap when the crack sits below the faceplate. |
| Skimmer Faceplate or Gasket Only | $150 to $300 | When the collar and body are sound and only the top assembly failed. |
Every number above is a real range we quote from, not a teaser rate that grows once we're in your yard. If a repair needs to move outside the listed range, for example a second union failing mid-dig, we stop and tell you before continuing, with a revised price in writing.
What decides where you land in each range
Underground plumbing repairs starting near $600 usually involve one exposed union with clear access and no decking to remove. Repairs closer to $2,400 usually mean trenching under a deck or driveway apron, replacing a longer run of pipe, or finding a second failure point once the first one is exposed.
Structural crack repairs near $250 are typically a single hairline crack in an accessible spot with minor plaster re-matching. Repairs closer to $600 involve a longer crack, a spot below the waterline that needs the pool partially drained, or plaster blending across a larger visible area.
Skimmer work splits into two tiers because the failure point matters. A cracked faceplate or worn gasket, priced at $150 to $300, is a bolt-on fix. A skimmer body cracked below the throat, priced at $350 to $900, means cutting into the shell and bonding a new housing in place, which is a longer job with more materials and more cure time.
What the diagnostic actually includes
Every flat-rate diagnostic starts with a bucket test to rule out ordinary evaporation, then a pressure test on each plumbing line to isolate which one is losing water. If the lines hold pressure, we run a dye test at every likely point along the shell: skimmers, returns, main drain, and light niche. If pressure and dye both point at the shell itself rather than the plumbing, we add a dive inspection to confirm the exact spot before quoting a repair.
You get a written report the same day, with photos marked at the exact point we found, before we ever talk about booking a repair. That report is yours whether you hire us for the repair or not.
Why the diagnostic is flat
A bucket test, a pressure test on each line, and a dye test at the suspect points take roughly the same time and the same equipment on almost every residential pool in Brazoria County. Because the process doesn't change pool to pool, the price doesn't either.
Why repairs carry a range
Two pools with the same symptom can need very different work. One union repair with no decking to cut is a different job than a run under a covered patio with a second weak joint discovered mid-dig. The range reflects that honestly instead of pretending every job is identical.

Pricing questions
Is the $295 diagnostic really credited toward the repair?
Yes, in full, as long as you hire us for the repair we identify. If we don't find a confirmed leak, the diagnostic is free, full stop.
What if the repair needs more work than the quoted range?
We stop, show you what we found, and give you a revised number before continuing. You're never billed for extra work you didn't approve.
Do you offer payment plans?
Not at this time. We accept cash, check, or card at the time of service.
What if the diagnostic points to more than one leak?
It happens, most often when a plumbing leak and a worn skimmer gasket are both losing water at the same time. We report every point we find in the same visit, priced separately by the same table above, so you can decide whether to fix one now or both at once.
